This is audio i recorded of my husband using his ten year old decrepit constant positive air pressure sleeping machine. I was trying to convince him that he needed a new one. The variety of sounds he and it managed to make is extraordinary. The intermittent beeping is the machine's warning sound. When i played it for him he cried laughing. I hope you find it useful for something. You'll be please to know his new machine is whisper quiet.

Recorded on a tascam msr16 4 claps two per track. There might be some low freq noise, since other instruments bleeded from other tracks of the machine, but thats why they are called "dirty drum samples" :) can be layerd to get a gang-clap. Free to use them whereever you want.

This is a sound of a pepsi bottle being opened. I guess the strange skin-twisting sounds was the skin on the hands that where holding the bottle and the bottle-cap while twisting. This made for an amazing futuristic machinery sound.

I suppose you could say this is a bit science-fictiony. Kinda like background noise if you were alone in an abandoned space station or starship with the sound of machines and whatnot around you. And as an added bonus, it is a perfect loop. Recorded with a yescom pro studio condenser microphone using my own voice. Used audacity for editing.

Zip twisting mechanism sound, then a drop glug sound. Also sound like a bottle glug. Use examples: you can use this in a number of ways if you edit it. 1. Parking meter. 2. Edit/cut the sound so that it sounds like you are using a drink vending machine. 3. Use the end glug sound as bottle being put down. Or copy and past the glug multiple times in a row to simulate someone heavily drinking from a bottle. 4. Glug sound can be used as something dropping in water. -[ recording info ]-. I created this accidentally while making bead strand zip sounds and hitting the microphone. This is an aif (garage band) file of just good ol' tape hiss recorded from a jvc tape machine (cassette). It's just tape hiss. You can change the freq to help blend it in your recordings. I have the volume on this at a higher level. When i blend this with my digital recordings i turn it down just enough to hear it without it being too analog sounding. Hope you can use it. It's great for soft passes and solo instruments, much like white noise of a studio perhaps.

This is a recording of very low frequency hum of a steel mill. The sample has been low pass filtered. The main frequency is about at 25hz. The sound was recorded some distance away of the steel mill area, where it mixed with other sounds as a constant hum, which could be felt in body too at certain spots.

Recording taken from a train at about 20 feet away. It was very windy, so consequently, the majority of the track was very much ruined. There is a small click near half-way, caused by a brief release of steam. It might prove annoying if you are planning on looping it. There is also not an even right/left balance throughout, due to my movement to avoid the wind.

Recorded inside a closet. Low noise, not much reverb. Sounds almost machine-like with a satisfying thump. Recorded on a phone. I messed around with it to get it to sound nice. In case you do something that mixes the channels: on the opening part i copied a 5khz to 8. 5khz band from the left to the right channel, so that frequency band is mono.

I took this sample from a phone message. I did use a live feed,(from the headset output on my phone, through a cable into my digital recorder. ) but it is very soft. When i tried recording with out the live feed, i couldn't even find the noise again. It could definitely use to be amped up a bit.

Recording of the rotation motor on a dynamic perception motion control rig. Recorded with a sennheiser ew100g3 wireless cardioid mic on a zoom h6.
